Children!!!
I can't believe it, the kids are getting so big. It seemed like just yesterday that Miles was obsessed with Aral and Helen just being conceived, like a proud Da. I was afraid for awhile that when they were born that Nikki would feel left out, but he seems to be liking his big brother role, aiding his younger brother in getting into something that he isn't supposed to. Yesterday I found Nikki, Aral, and Helen downstairs in the garage playing with Miles' lightflyer when I went looking for them. It was a cute sight really but something like that needs to be punished a little. So when I brought them to Miles for a proper chastisement betweent he two of us, Miles had this gleam of humour in his eyes that anyone who knew him could see right away and Nikki played off of that. I pulled him to the side and told him to act like a proper Da and tell his children not to do it again and instead he gives ME a speech about how children will be children.

Though I guess I can't completely blame Miles though luckily I got to Nikki before he turned it on. I just keep thinking what if it was something big like getting into the wine cellar. I keep hearing Ivan's voice in my head about all the things Miles made Ivan do for him and I shudder at what will happen when Aral get's older and learns to minipulate people better. Though I do love all of them, yes even Miles though he can be sometimes infuriating.

::runs fingers roughly through hair::

The lightflyer? They already want to, and are trying to, play with Miles' lightflyer? Please do check that he has not only reinstalled the failsafes but also made it impossible unlikely at least somewhat difficult for toddlers to actually make it do anything.

It's grossly unfair. The twins should, by rights, be giving Miles heart failure, not you, and not his grandparents. He seems to be immune, though.

I have a feeling, and after close scrutiny of the last few things that the children have done that Nikki was the ringleader in the lightflyer incident. Every since Miles let him drive it that one time he has found it fascinating.

As for the failsafes; I made Miles reinstall them when he was planning on let Nikki take it out with his supervision, it now has two sets of activations that are required one of which held by us, but then again Nikki is a smart boy. I have a feeling that if something had really happened Miles would have taken it seriously.

Aral sends his best and tells me to say that he misses his Grandda and Grandma. When do you think you and Cordelia will be back to Barrayar?

That is ... reassuring. Please tell young Aral that Grandda and Grandma should be home soon, and it is under discussion whether this will be an extended visit or perhaps that retirement Cordelia has been on about for so long. Well, for the boy, perhaps "soon" is enough of a reply.

LOL I agree whole heartedly. Watch I'll tell him you will be coming soon and he will ask me everyday if you are coming today or not :-). Oh and Helen says make sure Cordelia brings something for her. Perhaps I should suggest a new doll, her old one is looking rather tattered as of late since I found one of the kittens with it the other day. So how is life on Sergyar these days? I keep trying to talk Miles into taking us but he's been busy as of late looking over some financial stuff that seems to not add up right.

Oh dear, more kitten problems? I shall let Grandma Cordelia know of the need for a new doll and shall endeavor to avoid sponsoring the building of a new doll factory.

Financial matters not adding up? That sounds decidedly odd. Has something happened to Tsipis?

Oh no, I didn't mean to give that impression. She actually specifically asked Cordelia to get one for her saying something about a doll she showed her last time. I offered to get it for her but I think she wanted something from grandma to remind her of Cordelia when she is not around.

And the financial matters have something to do with the spending of Imperial funds by Vor....oh I forget the name I'll have to ask Miles, but not us. Tsipis is doing just fine and better than ever with Marks' new business, it seems to have put him in an even chipper mood but then again he always did love his job.

Wow it is late. I better stop looking at these plans for the new garden and get some sleep of Miles will get aneurisms trying to figure out why I'm not sleeping. Goodnight Aral. I'll pass on all the good news to everybody. We all love you and Cordelia.

Sorry, didn't mean for you to catch that. I know you didn't mean anything of the sort. It's just that Cordelia sometimes insists on doing things on rather a large scale. I'm sure she'll remember that particular doll. It's very sweet that Helen wants one specifically to remind her of Grandma.

Ah, so the newest Lord Auditor is actually auditing someone, then! Best luck to him.

Goodnight, Ekaterin. Please give our love to Miles and the children, too.
